WORK EXAMPLES

Publicis Consultants USA

During my most recent internship at Publicis Consultants USA, I balanced my time between three accounts: Gerber, Roman Meal and XANGO. I assisted the teams with general account management services, press release writing, media relations, media pitching, social media campaign development and monitoring, media tracking (CisionPoint and Burrelles Luce) and creative brainstorming.

Below is a list of skills utilized during my internship at Publicis. Click to see an example of my work.
  • Press Release Writing: A release featuring the non-profit work by XANGO's Goodness Foundation throughout the last year.
  • Blog Post Writing: Part of Roman Meal's social media campaign and consumer outreach program. Blogs featuring healthy tips and information from the company's nutritionist, Dr. Patrick Finney.

From Dr. Patrick Finney: The Good News About Cholesterol
  • Consumer Email Blast Creation: An email blast distributed to Roman Meal's consumer database announcing the new website. I was responsible for the creation of the creative brief, communicating layout and messaging to the design team, earning internal and client approval, communicating changes to the design team and presenting finalized piece to the client.
  • Blogger Relations/Blog Feature Writing: Through blogger relations, I earned Roman Meal the opportunity to be a featured giveaway on 24/7MOMs blog. I wrote the feature for the post.
  • Blogger Outreach: As part of a blogger outreach program for XANGO's beauty products, I created a blogger media list with 20 contacts and wrote specialized email pitches for each blogger.
  • Competitive Review Creation: Create a competitive review for Gerber to share with the client. The review features competitor press coverage and public relations activities.
  • Media Pitching: Pitched stories for Gerber, Roman Meal and XANGO. Results of pitching TBD.

In addition, I was responsible for managing media and consumer announcement of Roman Meal Original bread's reformulation.

Media Outreach: As project manager, I was responsible for the creation and distribution of 150 product press kits to targeted national media. Each kit included a branded press kit box and sticker, press release and fact sheet. The hard kits were distributed simultaneously with an email blast to high profile food editors.

Consumer Outreach: Consumer outreach included a free standing insert for News America, banner ad on Roman Meal website, website landing page, Facebook blog post and an email blast.

My duties as project manager included negotiating deadlines and communicating creative briefs with the design team, working with the client and team to finalize creative pieces, creating a targeted media list for press kit and media email blast, overseeing shipping of the hard kits and managing the distribution of the email blasts.
